Dean was called to a wasp nest removal in Beenham Berkshire, the client needed to have a surveyor check the loft for a property sale and was greeted by this absolute monster of a wasp nest.
The surveyor sensibly refused to enter the loft until the wasp nest had removed, and a professional treatment report was submitted stating it was safe to enter.
Dean has been in the pest control industry since 2003, and Robin has been in the industry since the late 1970’s.
Neither of them have ever seen a wasp nest as big as this in person! And they can’t remember seeing one as big as this in the UK in magazines even.
Many places have been writing about how poor the wasp season has been in 2024, but we’ve found it very different.
We’ve treated more nests that a usually year and the average wasp nest size has been substantially larger than usual too.
Dean was able to freeze the nest, remove it and treat the area where the nest had been built with a residual insecticide.
This will kill off any returning wasps over the following few days.
